Ubuy France conducted research to find out which countries travel the most. The research looked at several factors: the total number of trips people take for personal and business reasons, how often people search for travel-related terms, and how much money is spent on international tourism. The final score combined these metrics to provide a concise ranking.

France

France is the most traveling country, with a composite score of 29.1 out of 30. The French take over 200 million trips, with over 181 million being for personal reasons. This is the highest on the list, averaging 3 trips per person. France leads in travel interest with more than 30 million travel-related searches, the highest among the top 10 countries.

The second country that prefers to travel is Germany, with a composite score of 26.8. Germans take over 178 million trips, traveling to other destinations for more experiences, averaging 2 trips per person. They also spend a lot on travel, totaling $101.2 billion, placing the country at the top of the list.

Spain

Spain holds the third position with a composite score of 20.7. Spaniards take over 110 million trips, averaging 2 trips per person, similar to Germany. Although their international tourism expenditures are lower, they maintain strong travel interest with over 21 million travel-related searches.

Sweden

Sweden is the fourth country with the most exploration of new international destinations, scoring 16.7. With an average of 5 trips per person, Swedes have one of the highest travel frequencies per capita among the top 10 countries. Their high level of travel interest on Google mirrors that of Spain and Germany.

Poland

Poland rounds out the top five countries traveling the most, with a composite score of 15.8. Poles take fewer trips than the top 4 countries, with 1 trip per person, mostly for personal reasons. Although Poland has the lowest international tourism expenditures among the top 10, yet it shows a higher travel interest, with over 20 million travel-related searches on Google.

Italy

Italy is the sixth-most-traveling country, with a composite score of 14.3. Italians, like Poles, take, on average, 1 trip per person. Their international tourism expenditures are higher than those of Poland.

Netherlands

The Netherlands is the seventh country where people love to travel abroad, scoring 12.8. The Dutch travel often, averaging 2 trips per person, similar to Germany and Spain, again mostly for personal reasons. Country residents also conduct many travel-related searches, primarily looking for available tickets.

Finland

Finland takes the eighth position, with a composite score of 11.0. Finns have the highest average number of trips per person among the top 10 countries, with an average of 6 trips. Finland maintains high travel interest, with just 1 million searches behind the Dutch.

Switzerland

Switzerland is the ninth country exploring new destinations, with a composite score of 10.0. According to Eurostat, the Swiss take over 13 million trips. Their travel-related searches are slightly lower than those of Finns.

Portugal

Portugal rounds off the top ten with a composite score of 9.6. The Portuguese take almost 1 million more trips than the Swiss, yet their international tourism expenditures are the lowest on the list, at 3.5 million.
